    1. Hello Alfred. To treat black algae, you'll need an algaecide specially formulated to kill it. Even the most severe problems can be eliminated faster if you use a metal control product in conjunction with black algaecide. After you apply the chemicals, brush the areas of your pool with black algae growth to allow the chemicals to penetrate the outer coating of the spots.

  4. Hello Herbert, I will add this one because this will also help us to maintain our pool equipment.

Pump Lid O-Ring: Every few months check the pump basket and pump lid o-ring. If you notice the lid o-ring is cracked, weathered or broken in any way, replace it. A $10 investment can save you big in the long haul. Remember, “perfect maintenance” ultimately comes down
    to being proactive.

    1. Hello Hanson. Something is restricting the flow of water through the jets. Either there is debris lodged behind the jet bodies or too many of the jets are in the closed position. This caused the water to push back up through the air line. Remove all the jet bodies and internals, turn the jet pump on and let it blow any debris out of the system.
